We are looking ahead with optimism to Dempsey Challenge 2021, with a goal of providing opportunities for the Dempsey Challenge community to rally together in helping make life better for people impacted by cancer in a variety of safe and meaningful ways.

As of this moment, we are working diligently with fellow staff, board members, volunteers, and industry experts to gather as much information as possible in order to make an informed, smart, and safe decision regarding whether the Challenge can be held once again in person, or will be held virtually for 2021.

It goes without saying we all long for the magic and connection of an in-person Dempsey Challenge. From the excitement of the start line to the laughs and cheers around a well-earned Maine lobster, there’s nothing quite like the community and spirit we feel when we’re together.

What is so inspiring about this Dempsey Challenge family is the way we were able to summon that same spirit and community at last year’s, virtual, Reimagined Dempsey Challenge. Thanks to the creativity, compassion, and drive of so many of you, we found ways to carry the spirit of an in-person event into our own, personal challenges we set for ourselves, and together - we raised over $1.2M to help make life better for people managing the impact of cancer.

We don’t yet know what this year’s Dempsey Challenge experience will be, but we do know this:

  • Your health and safety, our Dempsey Challenge community, is our top priority
  • We will continue to work with industry experts, and stay up-to-the minute informed about state and CDC guidelines
  • We will keep the communication lines open, and share information with you about what this year’s Dempsey Challenge will look like as soon as we’re able to do so

Our team is working hard on all the details and will provide more information in the upcoming weeks. We are grateful for your continued patience, flexibility, and dedication, and look forward to making this year’s Dempsey Challenge another inspiring and successful experience!
