The Portland/Deering Girls Ice Hockey team is excited to sponsor HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER with a special last game of the season. We’ll be raising funds to benefit the Dempsey Center, which provides comfort, connection, community, and choice to cancer patients & survivors, their loved ones, and care partners—all at no cost. A gift of any size will help families right here in Maine who are impacted by cancer. We have a teammate whose father passed away in 2020 from a rare cancer after just 16 months, so we know firsthand how difficult it is to navigate a cancer journey.

The last game of the season is on February 4^th at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland and we invite you to join us for the special game. Arrive by 6 p.m. so as not to miss the ceremonial puck drop by a special guest.
